Teapot has become the piece i wanted to improve on the most as a potter. Maybe because the process of making teapots is known to be the most challenging. I like a good challenge.
I wanted to create Heart-felt Personal Teapots that resonate the feeling of having a good tea on a slow quiet day (or night).
Designing the pattern on these personal teapots were both fun and poignant. The spiral-like lines are an expression of things that are hard to say or feelings i struggle to put into words (katakata). It’s like a quiet language woven into the clay, leaving room for us to fill it with our own words and meaning.
