Studio Program Pottery – Basic Handbuilding (PRIVATE CLASS)

The Price stated is for one person.

2-day, 4-hour/sessions

The minimum age for this class is 15 years old.

What you’ll learn in this class:

Day 1:

• Clay and Tool Preparation Techniques
• Clay Weighing Methods
• Pinch Pot Techniques: Crafting Mugs, Bowls, Plates
• Coil Building: Creating Vases

Day 2:

• Slab Work Techniques: Crafting Plates and Mugs

What you’ll get:

• Free-flow clay
• Firing for all your creations
• Handouts
• Valid for 3 weeks from the date of payment.
• One free session for coloring purposes only

Please be patient for your pieces to be completed, as it takes 4-5 weeks after the class. They need to be fired inside the kiln two times, and it requires a minimum of 14 days to be completed at the fastest. However, our kiln can accommodate firing up to 40 pieces, which is why we need to fill it before firing. For those who want their pieces earlier, there will be an additional fee.

Please be aware that once booked, all class types are non-refundable. Rescheduling is only possible in cases of force majeure or illness. For sessions at Niiliving Studio, please reschedule at least 3 days in advance. For sessions outside our studio, please reschedule at least 7 days in advance. Failure to do so will incur a 50% charge. A maximum of one reschedule is allowed within 2 weeks. No replacement classes or refunds are available.
